As part of the successful Croatian team, we participated in Locked Shields 2026, the world’s largest live-fire cyber defence exercise, organised by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, which brought together more than 4,000 participants from 41 countries.
The Croatian team, led by the Cyber Command and including the Croatian Defence Academy, Special Forces Command, Military Intelligence Regiment, Military Security and Intelligence Agency, key state institutions (NCSC, CARNET, AZOP and ZSIS), as well as support from more than 20 private sector companies, took part in defending critical infrastructure and military systems against complex cyber attacks in real time.
Such exercises clearly demonstrate that cybersecurity is an area where true resilience cannot be achieved without cooperation between the state, industry, and experts.
More about the Locked Shields exercise can be seen in the video.
